Pricing

How I set the price

I don't price from a photo or a square-foot number alone.

  • What decides the price

The size of the home, and how long a clean takes it. These move the number:

    • Bedrooms and bathrooms

    • How long since the last clean

    • Pets and how much hair

    • How often you want me

    • Stairs, big windows and cluttered counters

  • What the written price includes

The rooms and tasks on your checklist, supplies and a vacuum. It leaves out the inside of the oven and fridge, interior windows, cabinets and laundry unless you add them.

  • What happens at the first visit

Deshawn and I go through the checklist with you, or with your notes if you're out. If the home is not what you described, I call you before I change anything.

  • When you get the number

In writing, by text or email, before your first clean. It stays the same at each visit unless the house changes, and I tell you first.

  • How and when you pay

After each visit, by card link or by check. Tell me which you prefer when you book.

  • If your home changes

A new puppy, a kitchen remodel, a move to every week: tell me, and I send a new price in writing before the next visit.

Your price is in writing before you say yes.

An example

A walk-through: three bedrooms, two baths, one dog, every two weeks

No dollar figure here, because yours will be different. These are the five things I ask, and what each does to the number.

  1. How big is it?

Bedrooms and bathrooms set the base. The bathrooms take the most time for their size.

  2. When was it last cleaned?

A house cleaned two weeks ago is a lighter job than one cleaned last spring. The first clean takes that on, so later visits are lighter.

  3. Is there a dog?

A dog that sheds means more time on floors and sofas. I ask where the dog stays during the visit.

  4. How often?

Every two weeks keeps each visit shorter than a monthly one. Weekly is lighter still.

  5. How do I get in, and where do I park?

It doesn't change the price unless parking adds travel time. It does change how I plan your day.
